What a Show Includes
In Bits, a show is a performance you log: which set you’re doing, when, and where. The Shows tab keeps your past and upcoming gigs in one place and lets you jump from a show into On Stage mode with the right set.
Each show has:
- Set – The set list (bits in order) you’re performing.
- Date and time – When the show is (or was).
- Venue – Where you’re performing (e.g. club name, open mic location).
You can edit any of these after creating a show.
Creating a Show
- Open the Shows tab (microphone icon).
- Tap the plus button to add a new show.
- Set – Choose which set this show uses. You must have at least one set with bits to pick from.
- Date and time – Set when the show is.
- Venue – Enter the venue name (optional but useful for later reference).
The show is saved automatically when you leave the screen. You can come back and edit it anytime.
Viewing and Editing Shows
- Shows are listed on the Shows tab (e.g. by date).
- Tap a show to open it and edit set, time, or venue.
- Use the context menu or delete option to remove a show if you no longer need it.
Going On Stage from a Show
- From the Shows tab, select the show (or the set it uses).
- Use the On Stage (or perform) flow to run through your set with the display mode and options you prefer (full, list, or cue cards; timer; transcription if you have Pro).
After the show, you can use set histories and set feedback (Pro) to review how it went. For more on that, see “How to use set histories and set feedback in Bits.”
Why Log Shows?
Logging shows helps you:
- See what you’ve done and what’s coming up.
- Tie set lists to specific dates and venues.
- Quickly start On Stage with the right set.
- Look back at set histories and feedback to improve next time.
