Where to Find It
With Bits Pro, each bit can have version history: a record of significant changes to the bit’s content over time. You can look back at earlier versions to compare drafts or recall something you removed.
- Open the bit.
- Tap the gear (properties) icon.
- Tap Version history (or the version history row). If you’re subscribed to Pro, the version history screen opens; if not, you’ll see that this is a Pro feature.
What You See
- The app shows a history of significant edits to the bit—not every keystroke, but meaningful changes (e.g. when you’ve made substantial rewrites or the app has recorded a new version). You can read through the stored versions to see how the bit evolved.
Use it to:
- Compare an earlier draft to the current one.
- Recover a line or idea you deleted (by copying from the history; the app may or may not offer a “restore” action depending on implementation).
- See how your edit habits look over time.
Notes
- Version history is per bit. It doesn’t track set or label changes; it focuses on the bit’s main content (and possibly notes, depending on how Bits implements it).
- History is stored in the cloud as part of Pro; it syncs with your account so you can see it on the web or other devices.
For other Pro features, see “What’s included in Bits Pro.”
