Requirements
With Bits Pro, you can turn on transcription when you’re in On Stage mode. The app captures what you say during the set so you can review it later—useful for remembering ad-libs, checking pacing, or feeding into set feedback.
- An active Bits Pro subscription.
- Microphone access allowed for Bits (the app will prompt if needed). Use transcription only when you’re comfortable being recorded.
Turning Transcription On
- When you’re about to go On Stage, you’ll see the pre–On Stage screen (practice mode, display mode, timer, transcription).
- Turn the Transcription option on.
- Then start your set as usual (full, list, or cue cards). The app will record and transcribe your performance.
Leave it off if you’re only rehearsing or don’t want a transcript.
Where to Find the Transcript
- After the set, the recording/transcript is tied to that set history (the run you just did). Open set histories from the Shows area (or wherever the app surfaces past set runs) and select that run. You should see the transcript or a way to view it there.
- If you use set feedback (Pro), the AI feedback can use the set and performance context; the transcript may inform or accompany that depending on how the feature is designed.
Tips
- Use transcription when you’re performing (practice mode off) so the run is saved as a real set history with a transcript.
- If you’re in a noisy room, the transcript may include background noise; use it as a rough record rather than a perfect script.
- For display and other On Stage options, see “On-Stage display modes and options in Bits.”
