Backup and Sync
Bits Pro is a subscription that unlocks cloud backup, sync, and several features designed to help you refine and track your material. Here’s what’s included and how to restore your subscription if the app doesn’t show you as Pro.
- Your bits, sets, labels, shows, and set histories are stored in the cloud and synced across your iPhone and the web when you’re signed in with the same account.
- You can work on material on the web or on another device and see changes in the app, and vice versa. This also acts as a backup if you lose or replace your phone.
Without Pro, material stays only on the device where you created it (and is not synced to the web).
Version History
- For each bit, you can view version history: a record of significant changes to the bit’s content over time. Useful for comparing drafts or recalling an earlier version.
Available in bit properties (gear icon) when you’re subscribed.
AI Bit Feedback
- Bit feedback (in bit properties) gives you AI-generated feedback on a single bit: what’s working, what could be tighter, and sometimes suggested edits you can apply or adapt. Helps you polish punchlines and structure.
Pro only; found in the properties screen of a bit.
Set Feedback
- After running a set (e.g. in On Stage), you can request set feedback: AI-generated notes on theme, bit order, transitions, and editing ideas for the set as a whole. Helps you improve flow and structure between bits.
Pro only; available from the On Stage flow or set history after a performance.
On-Stage Transcription
- With Pro, you can turn on-stage transcription on when performing. The app can capture what you say during the set so you can review it later (e.g. in set history or for set feedback). Useful for remembering ad-libs or reviewing pacing.
Pro only; toggle in the pre–On Stage options.
Restore Your Subscription
If you’re subscribed but the app shows you as not Pro (e.g. after reinstalling or switching devices):
- Open the More tab and tap the Restore purchase (or similar) option, or go through the subscription/backup row to find restore.
- Complete the restore flow (e.g. confirm with Apple or your provider). Your Pro features and backup should reactivate once the app recognizes your subscription.
