Notifications
Bits lets you control notifications, the app icon, your default performance pace (words per second), and privacy. All of these live under the More tab.
- Open More > Notifications (or the notifications row).
- Here you can turn on or off:
- Daily reminder – A nudge to write something today (often used with Comedy Gym).
- Other notification types the app offers.
Turn on what helps you stay consistent; turn off what you don’t want.
App Icon
- Open More > App icon (or similar).
- You can choose from alternate app icons if Bits offers them. Your choice only affects how the app looks on your home screen; it doesn’t change how Bits works.
Words per Second
- Open More > Words per second (or the words-per-second row).
- This number is used for auto timing of bits: Bits estimates how long a bit will take to perform based on the word count and this pace (e.g. 4 words per second). It affects the “length” estimate in bit properties and any features that rely on it (e.g. set timing).
- Set a value that matches how fast you usually speak when performing. You can change it anytime.
For more detail, see “How to set your performance pace (words per second) in Bits.”
Privacy
- Open More > Privacy (or the privacy row).
- Here you can read Bits’ privacy practices and, where applicable, manage privacy-related options the app provides.
